Also featured under the heading of the most recent Gettysburg Festival, this pastel done on-site of the Historic George Weikert Farm House on the Gettysburg National Military Park is sold. But the image is available on some pretty items on my cafe press website:

Quiet Corner, Harper's Ferry, W.V.
This studio pastel is done on torn Fabiano pastel paper mounted on art board. The scene struck me for its variation of textures and surfaces, with brick, stucco, cobblestone, flag stone, field stone and wood all in one vignette!
This painting will be on exhibit and for sale during the 2011 Gettysburg Festival at the Historic Gettysburg Railroad Station. For details, visit News and Events.
Amish Girl with Gourds II
From a photo I took at Eli Schmucker's Gourd Farm, Lancaster, Pa., in the heart of Amish country. This young lady agreed to be photographed during the 2009 annual Gourd Festival (of the Pennsylvania Gourd Society).

Amish Girl with Gourds
This is the same young lady, at work in the gourd farm's gift shop. I also craft gourds, so the opportunity to illustrate them instead of saw, carve, burn and stain them was fun and different.

Harper's Ferry, W.V.
View from Jefferson Rock
This was sold at auction in 2009 to benefit the Land Conservancy of Adams County. Harper's Ferry, W.V. is one of my favorite locations for artistic inspiration. It's peaceful quality - thanks mainly to the particular style of preservation at this National Park - allows the spirit of place to settle into your bones and psyche. There's no end to the picturesque historic buildings and the wonders of mountains and rivers. What a great treasure!
Round Barn
This en plein air of the Historic Round Barn, Arentsville, Pa., was actually done from the site of the breathtaking Hauser Estate Winery - a place with good wine and no bad views.
